Water clarifiers separate suspended solids and colloidal impurities from water. The separation process allows you to achieve thick sludge and flow clarified water for discharge, reuse, or further treatment.

Clearwater Industries manufactures traditional sedimentation, ballasted flocculation, and dissolved air flotation clarifiers for primary and secondary industrial clarification. We review each application to determine the proper technology and clarifier design for efficient liquid-solid separation.

Since 1996, we have manufactured portable and stationary clarifiers with modular designs for easy installation. Our stationary High Compaction Clarifiers achieve +65% solids by weight, and our scalable designs treat process water flowrates from 300-30,000 GPM.

We continually refine our designs to maximize performance and ensure reliable operation. The robust construction and elegant design maintain uptime, minimize operator attention, and provide efficient clarification.

TRADITIONAL SEDIMENTATION

Clearwater manufactures vertical and horizontal traditional sedimentation clarifiers. Our horizontal water clarifiers are offered in portable and stationary designs.

BALLASTED FLOCCULATION

Ballasted flocculation uses a ballast, usually sand, to increase the settling velocity of flocs or suspended solids. The ballast is fixed to the particles with the aid of a polymer flocculant. This process is generally used in low-solids-load and slow settling velocity applications. Clearwater manufactures horizontal ballasted flocculation clarifiers in portable and stationary designs.

DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION (DAF)

DAF clarifiers use microbubbles to float suspended solids, FOG, and colloidal impurities for mechanical separation by a skimmer system. DAFs are regularly used in primary applications and secondary applications where they separate and thicken biomass after biological treatment.
